A 62-year veteran in the field of education, Ms. McGahey established Millies Music Emporium, a center for music education, in 1952. She is a widely respected piano and music teacher and is proud to be teaching students from age 3 to 83. A passionate educator, she previously worked as an adult education instruction at Lewis-Clark State College for 17 years and as a teacher for Head Start of Idaho for five years. Ms. McGahey attributes her success to a genuine love for music and teaching and the fulfillment she finds in helping her pupils accomplish their goals, overcome their issues and become professional musicians.

Ms. McGahey received her Master's Degree in Adult Education from the University of Idaho and her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Lewis-Clark State College. She is affiliated with the Washington Music Teachers Association and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for which she has been volunteering her services as a church organist for the last 24 years. Her goals for the next five years include writing her own music on a more regular basis and developing a website to enable her company to reach more people.
