Eugene Cornelius, MS, CASA, Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in International Finance
Mr. Cornelius was integral in reverting Navios Corporation from being an international private enterprise back to being an S.E.C. Registered Public company.


    /Entrepreneurs News Articles/ - Brookfield, CT, August 8, 2008, Eugene Cornelius, Director of Corporate Reporting for Overseas Shipholding Group, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in international finance.

Mr. Cornelius brings 15 years of international experience to Overseas Shipholding Group, a shipping company that offers global energy tanker transportation services. Originally from South Africa, he specializes in accounting and financial reporting, and, as Director of Corporate Reporting, is responsible for overseeing operations including management and S.E.C. Public Company reporting of crude oil and refined petroleum products, and reports to the Controller. In 2005, Mr. Cornelius was integral in reverting Navios Corporation from being an international private enterprise back to being an S.E.C. Registered Public company, converting all IFRS accounting data back to U.S. GAAP and having all company information ready in a short period of time. He considers this his proudest professional feat to date, and attributes his success to his hard work, self-motivation, upbringing and passion for his profession.

As a Chartered Accountant, S.A., Mr. Cornelius holds a Master's Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, both earned in his native South Africa. He is currently affiliated with the Association of Chartered Accountants in the United States and is an active member of his local church, where he contributes his expertise to the finance team. His goals for the future include becoming a Chief Financial Officer and possibly co-owner of a company in the shipping industry and expanding his horizons internationally.
